Musical Handles

Sometimes we pull musical games out of the old bag.  In future shows you might see some.

Do-Run Run Run

(4-6 players)

This handle is nowhere near being our own, as it is used by countless other musically-inclined improv troupes.  Players sing a pretty structured song in the style of the old “Do-Run Run Run” songs.  Too complicated to describe.  If you’re in an improv troupe interested in knowing the structure, email info@labratscomedy.com and we’ll be more than glad to send it to you.

Hoedown

(4 players)

As seen on Whose Line Is it Anyway?,except without Wayne Brady.  Or the others.  A hoedown song based on a suggestion from the audience.  Again, email us for details.

Improv Doo-Wop

(4-6 players)

We are quite proud to say that this handle is fairly original, and evolved from a group of us purely improvising in a circle after a rehearsal.  We then loved it so much we added a bit more structure to make it tighter and not end up being a 15 minute song.  Heh.  The humble side is that though it is pretty loosely structured, we based it on common knowledge of decades of oldies pop music.  Oh well.  Nothing is really new.  But the beauty of stealing good stuff is that it’s good.  Again, for details, email us.

Irish Drinking Song

(4 players)

As seen on Whose Line. Players line up and sing one line contributions to 4, 4-line stanzas of an Irish Drinking Song.  You gotta see it.
