SECAA
Lab Rats Comedy is a charter member troupe of the Southeastern Comedy Arts Alliance, which currently includes groups from Jackson, Starkville, and Tuscaloosa. SECAA is a trade organization built to help build a brotherhood and learning community among other like-minded comedy troupes in the Southeastern United States.
SECAA currently heads a couple of events. One is “Laughingstock,” an event where all member-troupes of SECAA have a show and send their proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
Another is SECAF, the Southeastern Comedy Arts Festival. The Festival has been held twice, in 2006 at Mississippi State University hosted by the Lab Rats, and in 2007 at Oxford, MS, hosted by Laff Co.
